Anticipating Advent: A New Beginning!

Advent launches the new liturgical church year. This tradition goes back to about the fourth century. The name was adopted from Latin adventus "coming; arrival." This time of new beginnings has inspired composers for centuries to write music that helps create the sense of coming and arrival.

Our organ and choral music this Advent season is once again focused on looking ahead to Christ's coming. Each Sunday in Advent will include music from the greatest composers of the last seven centuries, each striving to create the sense of anticipation.

Join us each Sunday for music selected to enhance your anticipation of the coming of Christ.
