Ash Wednesday at FUMC

Our congregation, the First United Methodists Church, and the First Christian Church share the "extra" worship services at either end of Lent. We've mentioned before the following:

• Ash Wednesday is Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 6:00pm at the First United Methodist Church.

• Maundy Thursday is Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 6:00pm at our church, the First Presbyterian church.

• Good Friday is Friday, April 18, 2025, at 6:00pm at the First Christian Church

All three pastors participate in each service, but the host pastor does the planning. Rev. Dr. Jay Pi, from FUMC is planning an Ash Wednesday service with a traditional imposition of ashes (marking worshipers' faces or hands with a cross drawn in ash) and the theme, "Anticipation of Being a Good Christian."
