We are starting up a Thursday evening class going through the curriculum, Disciple: Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study. This survey of the entire Bible uses Biblical language and images and draws on the work of scholars to aid understanding of the Bible. It emphasizes the wholeness of the Bible as the revelation of God. This and other studies in the Disciple series aim at transformation, not just information.
This is a high-commitment curriculum. Participants are expected to do 30 minutes of prep per day in addition to the weekly group meeting. This will be Thursdays from 6:00 to 8:30 starting September 12th and running through late Spring. There are 34 sessions (think of it as two school semesters). A detailed calendar (weeks off for holidays, etc.) will be provided when the class starts.

The church will pay for student materials, but if you don't like that, you can send $45 to the church office or put it in the offering plate.
