Music brings energy to worship services and enhances the scriptures and the spoken word. With great music, you should be inspired to continue your praise of God and to start a new week with a renewed vigor.
A good worship service requires a choir with sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses. Come join us for Choir rehearsals Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm and Sunday mornings at 10:20 before the worship service. Singers of all talent levels and ages are welcome, high school ages through senior citizens. You may not know your voice type, but we will help you find a seat with voices similar to yours. You may be surprised to learn that most choir members are not soloists and many do not read music. But that is why we have rehearsals. We teach you the music. Those of you who think you may not have the talent will be surprised to stand beside the Vicki’s and Mary’s of the world and be inspired.
Encourage your high school age students to come sing! If you are not currently singing, come give us a try; sample the joy. Tell your family members and relatives, neighbors, work associates, and anyone who will listen, singing in a church choir is one of the great joys in life! If you have children that need your attention, bring them with a coloring book and have them sit with you in the choir loft.
Soli Deo Gloria,
Jack
