Samaritans Sunday, Samaritans Month

On the Second Sunday in September, September 8th, we will take up an offering for the Samaritans Food Pantry. We are proud that this important organization started in our very own basement. Because Samaritans can purchase food in bulk, giving money is a very efficient way to help Samaritans. If you are writing a check, please put "Samaritans" in the memo line.

While we are having this special offering on the second Sunday, the whole month of September is a good time to keep Samaritans in your thoughts and prayers. All month in the Narthex Box, we are collecting canned or packaged proteins like spaghetti and meatballs, ravioli, tuna, chicken, peanut butter and stew (even with Samaritans' bulk purchasing power, these items come at a premium). You can also volunteer at the pantry. Come help on Tuesdays 10:00am to 1:00pm or Thursdays 3:00pm to 6:00pm organizing and boxing food, or help unload a delivery on the 2nd or 4th Thursdays at 9:00am.
