At First Presbyterian Church of Pauls Valley we continue to offer a Monday - Friday half hour prayer service beginning at 8:00am in the sanctuary. It is an opportunity to start the day with prayer with other Christians. The service is not just for Presbyterians but is open to all Christians and those seeking to learn more about the Christian Faith.
Pastor Chas began the service in Sept of this year, right at the start of his ministry as Pastor of First Pres. Pauls Valley. He began the service to undergird his own ministry and prayer life as well as those of his neighbors and parishioners. He believes in the power of prayer and the power of scripture to create newness within us and about us.
The service follows a rhythm that repeats certain prayers and psalms and also has daily changing scripture readings. There is opportunity to voice one's individual prayers and heart stirrings as well.
